Lots Of Recent Pictures Of Matthew!

My baby boy is getting so big! Here are some photos I took of him in early October just past his 2 1/2 year old b-day. He was all dressed up going to Nana & Papa Airdo's home to be babysat. He was so proud in his new clothes from Old Navy! :)

My poor little boy got a bad boo-boo about a month ago! :( Cracked his little head open on a table edge. He always points at it and says "boo-boo". We put scar cream on it everday though, I hope it will go away for him and heal well.

Ooooh!!! Look at those stinkers! Matthew and Danielle playing with the water faucets at our kart shop. I was babysitting Danielle that night. They made trouble but had so much fun together. They were feeding eachother candy all night too, LOL! ;)

Heres some pictures of Matthew at The Arizona State Fair. We go every year, but he really enjoyed it this year! He really loved all the animals. He was calling the pigs "Piglet" and the Kangaroo "Roo" and the bunnies there "Buns" (He calls Rabbit from Winnie The Pooh this also-can you tell he likes to watch Winnie The Pooh alot?)

They had a play area there too, at the fair, for the kids. It was a germy good time...LOL!

Pic taken middle of October...my little boy curled him with his favorite blankie from Nana Sue, taking a nap.

"CHEESE!!!" Matthew at a race in Tucson cheesing it up for the camera!

On 10/19 we took Matthew to a local pumpkin patch called Tomalchoff Farms so that he could pick out his Halloween "puntin" (thats what he calls pumpkins). He had a blast there playing in the corn maze and looking at all of the animals there and, of course, looking at all the "puntins". ;)

And one last picture with the "puntins" before the sun set....

New Reborn News...

A couple of months ago I entered one of my reborns in The Arizona State Fair...I won! I won 1st place and Best Of Show! My little guy is currently on display there until the beginning of Novemember. I was so proud!

Here is a photo of me with my reborn, my reborn is to the right of me. The other reborns are not mine:

A couple of new reborns...

First is Daniella, she is a 'Luca' sculpt from Elly Knoops. This little girl sold quick for me! I had her on eBay less than 1 day before somebody found my auction and purchased her for $300 at 'Buy It Now'. LOVE those kinds of sales!!! :)

And this is my little 10 inch Ashton Drake baby, 'Charlie', from the Tiny Miracles line. This little thing started out as a cheap looking, pasty doll with badly done hair and pretty much no coloring on it. I took the original doll apart, stripped all his factory paint off, removed his fake eyelashes and factory hair on his head with 'Nair' and completely transformed him into a lifelike miniature reborn. I repainted him, re-rooted his hair and gave him rooted eyelashes as well, gave him a better jointed body and weighted this little guy to about a pound and a half. Here he is! This is a "true reborn" as reborn actually means that a play doll is "reborn" into a lifelike doll after an artist re-does it!
This is what 'Charlie' looked like before I reborned him:
This little guy is not going to eBay as I made him for myself. :)

Our Happy Little Boy! :)

My sweet little boy...here he is being his cute little self playing with his favorite blanky that his Nana Sue crocheted for him. He LOVES this blanket and carries it all around when we are at home. Thank God he doesnt want to take it out when we leave, otherwise it would be a big mess! When we go out of the house he is never without his blue Thomas The Train...or "Choo-Choo" as he calls it.
Matty is also potty training right now! He pee-pees on his potty when we are at home and definitely prefers the potty over his diapers. When we are at home and I try to put a diaper on him he sometimes says "No, no! Want potty!" Not even 2 1/2 yet...I can't believe how fast my little boy is growing up already! ;)

Such a cutie pie! (The baby is one of my reborns that I sold to a lady in Portugal!)

My Berenguer 'Rosebud' Completed-Already Sold! :)

I didn't even get a chance to put this reborn on my Blog and she already sold...WOW! I put her on eBay early Tuesday morning and she sold late Tuesday night at her full asking price at 'Buy It Now'....I couldnt believe it!

I got an email Tuesday also, from a journalist at The Arizona Republic (our local newspaper). She is interested in doing an interview with me about my reborn dolls and about the art of reborning. I emailed her back with my phone number and told I could probably do an interview with her about them. This could be good plublicity for me and possibly mean custom orders from Arizona locals. Will keep you posted on this. :)

Here is my Rosebud, now Kendall's, link to her eBay auction if you would like to see more photos of her.:

Our California/Disneyland Vacation!

We are back from our Disney trip! It was quite an adventure with some ups and downs. First the good things-we had a blast and Matthew was super good and had a great time! We got to ride on lots of fun rides this time and since Becky came along we got to ride on some of the scarier rides as well. We also went to visit Beverly Hills/Hollywood the first night we arrived. We had a great time looking at the beautiful houses up in the Hollywood Hills and a fun time seeing all the strange things on Hollywood Blvd. We also visited Rodeo Drive and window shopped in all the expensive boutiques there.

We also had some bad times, well I had some bad times. Sometime at the end of the night the last night we were there either someone stole my diaper bag right out of our stroller or I left it at a table we were eating at in Tomorrowland. Luckily, there was no cash at all in it. But I had my wallet with a couple of credit cards in there, my driver's license AND both my and Matthew's social security cards! Ughhh!! What a mess! I spent most of Wednesday night calling my credit card companies, getting a new driver's license, new insurance cards, and contacting the credit bureaus to put fraud alerts on my personal information since I am now a potential identity theft victim. You think I should know better too since I worked in the fraud department for almost 3 years at Discover Card. So, people, learn from me...DO NOT put your SS card in your wallet! Since I took care of all that, I do feel better now. I was having a pretty bad day Tuesday night and most of Wednesday and wasnt exactly in a "Disney" mood once that happened. Hopefully the bag eventually turns up, if it does Disneyland will ship it back to me free of charge We will see...

We also had a STRANGE thing happen to us. I am sure you heard about the 5.4 magnitude earthquake in southern California on Tuesday. Well, I got to experience my first earthquake! What a very weird sensation and it scared me and excited me at the same time. Curtis, Matthew, and I were eating brunch at Goofy's Kitchen when it happened (Becky wanted to sleep in and stayed in the room-so she was in the hotel room when it happened). I am not sure how to describe the earthquake, except it felt like "waves" underneath my feet and was a very loud rumbling sound. It felt like the room was swaying side-to-side, like in a funhouse. I honestly had no idea what was happening. My first thought was a huge truck ran into the side of the building, then I thought it was a terrorist attack. Curtis grabs Matthew from his high chair and sheilds his head, I am just sitting there like a dear caught in the headlights. I yelled to Curtis "WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?!" and he says "It's an earthquake!" The whole thing was over within 20 seconds but had me pretty shaken. I tried to call Becky to see if she was ok, but it kept saying "system too busy". Curtis said it was because everyone and their mother was probably trying to use their cell phones. So, yeah, an earthquake. Something I thought I would NEVER experience in MY lifetime!

So here are some photos of our vacation...hope you enjoy! :)

I just finished 'Ariella'! She is all ready to go to eBay to be auctioned off. I will have to put her on sometime next week though as we are going to Disneyland tomorrow (YAY!) and I wont be around to check my auction. I will post her auction link when I get back, probably on Thursday. Here are some pictures of my 'Ariella'.
