Dont EVER wake a sleeping toddler! Matty was being babysat by Nana Sue & Papa Bob last Friday and Nana said he was all upset when we left...he was saying: "Dada, Dada...", so Papa Bob held him and rocked him and he fell asleep. Poor Nana & Papa said they didnt even get to play with Matthew because he slept the whole time mommy & daddy were out! Well, when we went to go pick him up, we had to wake him up. Here are the results....

Birthdays And Sleeping Toddlers
My adorable Niece, Danielle, turned 2 years old last week her mommy & daddy had a little party for her at her house. She got lots of fun presents and had a fun day! Her and Matthew were even getting along better than normal as well. Thank you for letting us be a part of your big day, Danielle, and I am so glad you liked the presents we got you! :) I love you little sweet pea!

Matty had fun playing with "Dy-ee's" (what Matthew calls Danielle) train set. :)

So the moral of the story is....do not EVER wake a sleeping toddler!

I sold my first reborn! Also, pics of Matty at the track!
Well, I had "Baby Jacob" listed on EBAY for $125 or 'Best Offer' and he sold for $115, plus $15 for shipping making a total of $130! I have to pay shipping and that will come out of the profit but we get an awesome deal on shipping through our kart shop so it still comes out to a nice, tidy little profit.
Here is a link to Jacob's auction page if you are interested in seeing more pictures of him:

Melissa's New Hobby.
No, that is NOT a real baby you are looking at!
I have a new hobby to take up some more time in my already busy life. ;) I recently started making Reborns! If you are unfamiliar with the art, just search the term "Reborn Doll" on EBAY and you will get the jist of it pretty quick. In short, the term means that you are taking a real baby doll, or you purchase a mold from an internet store that sells reborn supplies, and you strip all the factory paint off of the doll and then add your own layers of paint to give the "baby" realistic skin tones that mimic that of a real human newborn baby! Some reborn artists even root the hair with quality mohair and a rooting needle that roots only 1 or 2 hairs at a time! And, yes, it takes FOREVER! I recently completed my 1st reborn the other day and, overall, it took me about 25 hours from start to finish over the course of about a week. I was mostly working on the doll after Matthew went to sleep when I had a few hours to myself. It is a very time consuming, and sometimes tedious hobby, but it has been a blast! I think dollmaking is in my blood anyways. As some of you may know, my mom made porcelain dolls for a quite a few years when I was growing up. I am going to keep this reborn but I will try to sell my others. I plan to auction them off on EBAY. They go in price from anywhere to $100 all the way to $25,000!!! Hmmm....maybe one day I will be good enough to sell one of my reborns for that much? Well, a girl can dream, can't she? ;)
Here is what the doll looks like when you first get the mold, unpainted:
Some pictures of the finished product:
I have another mold being shipped to me right now and I cannot WAIT to get started on the next doll! This art is all learned by trial and error so now I know the mistakes I made on the first doll so it will be fun to perfect the next doll even more learning from my first mistakes. This next one though I wont keep. :( I will be putting it on EBAY and selling it. It will be hard to see something that I have put so much work into sold, but I cannot keep a million dolls around my house, you know? That wouldn't be very good for room in my home nor room in the pocketbook. Well, hope you enjoyed pictures of my first doll! :)
***P.S. : As I was making this doll I felt that it looked a lot like Matthew did as a newborn. But I was, in a way, trying to make the doll look like him with the dark hair and all. Take a look at this picture of Becky holding Matthew in the hospital. Doesn't the doll look like him? :)

There is a new addition to the Airdo family....
Becky has a baby! A baby PUPPY, that is! ;)

Becky has moved out of Mom & Dad's house and has her own place! She did it all on her own and it is just her in her cute little 1 bedroom apartment. After almost 36 years of raising children, my parents are finally "empty nesters" and they seem to be enjoying every minute of it.
Anyway, Becky bought this adorable little Maltese over the weekend and had decided to call her BEBE. She is the cutest little white fluff ball you have ever seen! We had so much fun playing with her all day on Saturday and Matthew even gave her a little kiss! Awwwww.....
Here are some pictures of Becky's new baby:
Sink Time Fun!
This video was taken about a month ago. Matthew had a really hard time graduating from sink bathing to bathtub bathing. Just a couple of weeks ago I FINALLY broke him of the sink-bathing habit. He now loves his bathtime in a real bathtub! In this video Matthew is demonstrating to everyone how he knows all his body parts. Enjoy!

Matthew turns 2!!!
My little baby is no longer a baby! He is a toddling 2 year old boy now! We decided not to have a big party this year like we did for Matty's 1st birthday. Melissa goes a little crazy when there are a bunch of people around the house, the dogs go crazy, Matthew gets crabby....sooo...we decided to leave the big parties for when Matthew gets older. Matthew didnt really have a "party" at all. We just spent the day at the house and if family wanted to come visit if they had a gift for Matty, then we let them come over for a little while. It was a low-key but fun day. Matthew was a little crabby because he doesnt like to share. Cousin Danielle wanted to play with Matty's toys but Matty was none too thrilled with that! Still Matthew loved his gifts, he got mostly Thomas The Train and Winnie The Pooh things and, as always, his Nana & Papa Airdo spoiled him! Matthew wants to thank all who remembered him on his special day! (Thanks to: Nana & Papa Airdo, Auntie Becky, Auntie Stephie, Uncle John & cousin Danielle, Great Auntie Phil and Great Uncle Rusty, Great Gramma & Grampa Airdo, The Yerkovich Family, The Bullock Family, and Great Gammi & Coppi).

Presents!
Opening presents

Matthew on his 2nd birthday
Also, Matty had his 2 year well child visit the day after his birthday. He was 34 1/4 inches tall (50%) and 26 lbs (25-50%). He is right on track for growing and his speech. He currently says about 40 world right now and is learning new ones everyday!

Matthew's THIRD Easter!!!
Well, I cannot believe it, but Matthew's third Easter has already come and passed! We spent the day at Stephanie & John's house with Matthew's cousin, Danielle. Auntie Stephie made the day a very special one for Matthew and Danielle. When we first got to Stephanie's house there was a beautiful Easter basket waiting for Matthew over there that Steph & John put together for him! WOW! Then there was an Easter Egg Hunt in Steph's backyard! Matthew & Danielle had lots of fun playing in the backyard and with all of Danielle's toys. Stephanie made a delicious ham dinner! What a great day!!!
